GUIDANCE AND CAREER COUNSELING:
Every year the placement activities start with the collection of List of interested and job seeking students from each department. All the teaching, non-teaching, students and Alumni were periodically motivated to share the information about Job vacancies in the Corporate world.
Every year career guidance programme is organized for Students who pursue under graduation in other Colleges of Cuddalore district were offered career guidance and higher education opportunities in the Annamalai University & other universities. In that programme Final Year Students were offered real life situation on case study by video show. The interview techniques on stress interview, group discussion, mock interview and lectures on types of attitude and aptitude Questions under interview methods were the focus areas in the career guidance programme.
Similarly the career guidance programme also periodically conducted for the final year Students of Faculty of Arts, Science, Education, Indian Language and Fine Arts. The Students got awareness about university higher education, Post graduate programmes, Self Development, Job prospects and Personality Development. The guidance sessions were handled by the Faculty of Business Administrationm, Executives from NLC Ltd, Neyveli and Management Experts. The methodology used is individual guidance, group guidance, lecture methods and power point presentations. The resources like Library, Communication Lab, Video cassettes are used for the career guidance programmes. A guidance programme was also organized for students from North eastern parts of India especially, Mizoram. Students interacted with faculty members of Business Administration. Ideas on culture, information, campus programmes, management development programmes were the key areas discussed.
